Property Division
Separation raises difficult financial questions: what to do with the home, the savings, the pension and the business, and how to secure a stable future. This is exactly where a professional hand is needed to protect what you've built.
I map out the full picture of assets and rights, including those that aren't always visible, and build a strategy that ensures you receive the fair share you're owed. In some cases it's even possible to depart from a strictly equal split in your favor, and I know how to ground such an argument.
The goal: that you finish the process with the financial security you need to open a new chapter, without giving up rights that are yours.
How I can help
- Resource balancing between spouses
- Division of the family home and assets
- Division of pension, funds and social rights
- Tracing, valuation and protection of assets
Frequently asked questions
Is everything we accumulated split equally?
As a rule, assets accumulated during the marriage are split, but there are exceptions, inheritances, gifts, or property from before the marriage. I examine each asset on its own and make sure the division is genuinely fair to you.
What about the pension and social rights?
Pension, training funds and social rights are usually part of the divisible property, and are sometimes worth more than the home. I make sure they aren't overlooked and are divided properly.
What happens to the family home?
There are several options, sale and division of the proceeds, buying out the other's share, or a temporary arrangement for the children's benefit. We examine together what's right for you, financially and personally.
I suspect the other party is hiding assets, what can be done?
There are legal tools to uncover hidden assets and obtain information about accounts and rights. My role is to ensure the full picture is revealed and your rights are preserved.
